The real story is that 30,000 people in Boulder County are without some sort of healthcare coverage (Boulder County Trends Report). Lets make a difference by supporting local agencies that are maintaining the health of our community.
We are lucky in Boulder County to have a strong network of community health centers that primarily serve our low-income and uninsured populations.
While you are perusing information about healthcare reform, you may want to consider all the great volunteer opportunities that RSVP offers for volunteering in a healthcare field. Besides our own services, we also assist many other agencies in placing volunteers aged 55+. All of these healthcare agencies provide excellent options for volunteers to make a real difference.
