Enjoy a Night of Music to Benefit CareConnect!

On Saturday, December 11, the Mark Vann Foundation will host its 8th Annual Holiday Benefit Show at the Boulder Theater. This is the second year the event will benefit two local non-profits – CareConnect and There With Care.

The show will feature many great bands, including: Todd Snider, Great American Taxi, Bonfire Dub, Shannon McNally & Hot Sauce plus special guests and surprises! The night will also feature an art show and silent auction. Tickets are only $20 and are on sale now at the Boulder Theater box office and online at www.bouldertheater.com.

“The Mark Vann Foundation is a wonderful organization whose support allows local non-profits to achieve Mark’s ‘Go Big!’ motto,” says Maureen Ewing, Executive Director of CareConnect. “We are very honored and excited to be part of such a beloved event that not only supports the community, but honors a truly great musician.”

CareConnect promotes the security, comfort and independence of seniors and adults with disabilities throughout Boulder County. Proceeds from the concert will directly benefit programs, which include: Medical Mobility, volunteer-escorted rides to medical appointments; Fix-It, minor home repairs; and Carry-Out Caravan, weekly grocery shopping and delivery. All programs are volunteer-powered and are offered at low or no cost to clients. Learn more at www.careconnectbc.org or call 303-443-1933.

Mark Vann’s spirit parted company with his body on March 4, 2002. Mark consistently lived by the motto of “Go Big!” and he applied this motto to both playing music and his unending willingness to offer his time and knowledge to teach anybody who wanted to learn. He encouraged others to “Dream Big,” “Go Big,” and “Pick Big,” and personally supported their efforts to do so.

The Mark Vann Foundation was created to continue the spirit of joy, gratitude, and generosity that Mark brought to our collective communities through his life and music.
The primary mission of the Foundation is to serve community based non-profit organizations bringing light, love and laughter into the lives of those in need through nature, music and the arts; and to provide a conduit for kindhearted people with similar values to nurture impactful positive change within their own communities.

There With Care is a non-profit that supports children and families facing critical illness by providing practical services to ease the burden of life’s day-to-day obligations during a medical crisis (www.therewithcare.org).
