Longmont Legend Award Winners
Legendary Longmont Business: Bay Window Catering (Steve Eisler)
Bay Window Catering received multiple nominations based on their commitment to donating time, services, and food to so many organizations and nonprofits in the community – including CareConnect! Steve has been donating his delicious food to local nonprofits for over 36 years, and he never says no!

Legendary Longmont Community Personality: Officer Bobby Garcia
Bobby has worked at the Longmont Police Department for over 20 years and was a DARE Officer, School Resource Officer and has helped so many people by just being himself. Everyone knows Officer Bobby and now the kids he helped are having their own children who he continually supports. Bobby never misses a sporting event and gives the kids that extra care that they may not have anywhere else. Bobby's impact on the Longmont Community has absolutely made this a better place to live.

Legendary Longmont Volunteer: Kathleen Norris
Kathleen received multiple nominations for her many volunteer commitments. She has volunteered with The OUR Center, Intercambio, the Longmont Public Library, El Comite, Community Food Share and many other Longmont agencies. She is a "take charge" volunteer who operates with the utmost integrity and deep compassion. She is super organized and is able to manage any complex project flawlessly. Besides she has a strong sense of duty but always works with others with a wonderful sense of humor. In addition she helps in several other community projects that support integration, embracing inclusion.

Legendary Longmont Seniors: Ernie Clark and Thelma Horton
Ernie and Thelma are both residents at The Longmont Regent. Ernie is 104 years old and he is a great nominee for being a Longmont Legend because of his age, and how well he remembers every aspect of his life and others around him. He has been here longer than almost anyone else in town.
Thelma is 98 years old, about to celebrate her 99th birthday. Thelma is quite the character with her crazy outfits and outgoing attitude she has a way of making anybody laugh. She will always participate in anything she can get her hands on and is a wonderful part of the community.
